Another lesson from Indiana
I wrote here about my friend from Indiana before. It looks beautiful, good, friendly and always boxer dog so able to live with my husband and me. Indy is five years in a few weeks, so it is now officially a middle-aged man in hunting in the world. All my life I had the privilege of living with dogs and I always had a lot to teach me. Indy is no exception.
Recently, our son, Jeff, who lives in Los Angeles decided he wanted a dog to keep him company. Has been raised with boxers and Indy really missed, so he adopted a boxer named Duke. Duke is a tall, handsome, kind and very sweet, somewhere between 1 and 2 years. Rescue was not sure of their age because they had no idea where they came from originally. This dog seemed perfect to live with Jeff and what he was going home.
They bonded instantly and became best friends. The problem is that the Duke could not overcome the noise and activity constant Los Angeles. The poor, in fact started to lose their hair. After consulting a behaviorist, a veterinarian and manager of each independently, "said Jeff Duke was clearly no intention to adapt to being an urban dog, Jeff decided to return the house of his friend. So he arranged for the Duke to go to Texas to live with his older brother Bill and his wife Felicia. The only problem is that you have not been able to take for three months and the Duke was clearly not to remain in Los Angeles, his stress level has increased.
Road trip! Duke and Jeff have made their way across the United States Milwaukee. Duke will hang over us until Bill and Felicia are able take home in a few months. All very well, we were pretty sure Indy would be happy to have a friend for a few months because it has always well done with the dog business. But Duke has experience little or no contact with other dogs, so I really did not know was how.
I should have known he could rely on the dogs, especially Indy to manage the situation perfectly. From the moment He entered the court, stopped Indy his exuberant behavior in general, went to Duke and his tongue tied invited his new friend to walk around the yard with him and looks around. Duke was a bit hesitant. Indy was calm and patient, draw to itself when Duke was playing a bit shy sometimes, when the Duke was a little more interest.
This has been happening for several days now. I have been walking together Every Day for the Duke is much more comfortable with me when Jeff leaves and course, to strengthen its training and exercise as needed. The life coach in me is happy and a little surprised that continues to dog training between the two of them, despite what I do. They walk on opposite sides of me, but Duke is still see Indy and take all their cues from him. In the house are also learning each other. Indy continues to attract a new friend in the casual game of chase or tug, with patience a moment, I was not expecting. Time to eat is also interesting. Duke is a big kid, a bit underweight and not yet complete. As such we consume much more than Indiana. They obtain separate containers and once completed, the Duke is always a bowl of Indy heads. It gently and with dignity his face near the cup. If Indy is that shifting left end of the Duke of food. I refer to the lessons of training that are both teaching me, because I think they teach me all the time they are all in common. Indiana is a fabulous life coach at Duke. He is patient, but also many expectations. Needless to attract or invite the Duke to do certain things, if Duke is committed to work together, like playing with a toy tugboat, a totally new experience for the Duke. If Duke refuses, just walk without Indy at all personally. Just try something else later. What a great life coach! Indy offers, he suggests, causes a bit. Then wait to see the results. If they are nice and ask you to draw a little more. If the results do not succeed, try something else. Am I I mentioned that I think Indy is a bit of a genius? lol
The two dogs of course, receive Reiki every day. It is simply part of daily routine here. I firmly believe that Reiki is a big part of the reason why Indy has made such amazing physical rehabilitation of his career earlier this year. I can only imagine what helped him mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Duke Of course, I want to enjoy the same benefits as far as possible. It is a very special dog and deserves to know the love and benefits of people who care a lot. Reiki is a part of this experience while he is involved with this family.
Again, I want to thank the animals in my life for the simple but profound lessons that I learned again and again. Follow the lessons easy and simple. This is very appreciated and I will continue the implementation of these lessons learned while I work with my clients in coaching text.
This week, I encourage you to take a little time. Observing animals in their lives. Perhaps this are your pets, or even the squirrels and birds in the yard. Do not take long to understand that they are all teaching us and if we attention, we can learn many things.
